The Labyrinth Ensemble is dedicated to experimenting with and promoting modal music traditions of Central, West, and South Asia, and the Mediterranean. Ensemble members are engaged with multiple musical traditions, aiming to explore unlimited possibilities for creation and collaboration. Through Labyrinth, musicians are trained to appreciate the particularities of makam music without compromise. The Ensemble part takes in two residencies a year with various international guest artists, such as Güzin Değişmez and Evgenios Voulgaris.

The Labyrinth Ensemble will feature the following configuration at Guelph Jazz Festial: Yang Chen, Sadaf Amini, Roa Lee, Naomi McCarroll-Butler, Araz Salek, and Sasan Salaseli.
